Services

Everything above the gutters, handled by one crew.

Residential and light commercial roofing across Monmouth County. We do the work ourselves rather than passing it to subcontractors.

Roof replacement

Complete tear-off to the deck, new underlayment and architectural shingles, installed to the manufacturer's high-wind specification.

Repairs and leaks

Flashing, pipe boots, valleys and storm-lifted shingles. If a repair will do, we'll say so and tell you how many good years are left.

Storm and insurance work

Damage documented with dated photos and a written scope. We'll meet your adjuster on the roof if you'd like.

Gutters and leaders

Seamless gutters sized to the roof, with leaders that carry water well away from the foundation.

Skylights

New and replacement units, properly flashed and integrated with the roof so they don't become the next leak.

Siding and trim

Fascia, soffit and siding matched to the new roof so the whole exterior looks finished.

Our installation standard

What goes into every Kestrel roof.

Shingles are the part you see. These are the parts that decide whether the roof is still dry in year twenty, and every one is written into your quote.

No.ComponentWhat we do
01Roof deckInspected after tear-off. Soft or damaged plywood is replaced before anything goes on top.
02Ice and water shieldSelf-sealing membrane along the eaves and in every valley, where ice dams and leaks begin.
03UnderlaymentSynthetic underlayment across the full deck as a second line of defense.
04Drip edge and flashingNew metal at every edge, wall and chimney, so water is carried off the roof rather than behind it.
05ShinglesArchitectural shingles over a sealed starter course, nailed to the high-wind pattern.
06VentilationContinuous ridge vent balanced with intake at the soffits, which keeps the attic dry and extends shingle life.
Replacement packages

Three levels, clearly defined.

Every package includes permits, dumpster, landscape protection and a full magnetic sweep. Pricing follows the free inspection, since size, pitch and deck condition vary from house to house.

Questions

Before you hire a roofer.

The questions homeowners ask us most, answered plainly.

Do I need a new roof, or a repair?

Often a repair is enough. If the shingles are sound and the problem is flashing, a pipe boot or storm damage in one area, we'll repair it and tell you how much life the roof has left.

How long does a replacement take?

Most homes take one to two days, weather permitting. Larger or steeper roofs can take three.

Will you work with my insurance company?

Yes. We document the damage with dated photos, prepare a written scope, and can meet your adjuster on site.

Do I need to be home?

Only for the inspection walkthrough, if you'd like to be. On installation days we need access to the driveway and an exterior outlet.

How should I vet a roofing contractor?
  • Ask for their New Jersey home improvement contractor number and verify it.
  • Request certificates for liability and workers' compensation insurance.
  • Get the price, materials and plywood allowance in writing.
  • Read recent reviews from homeowners in nearby towns.
